If you want to keep up with the latest news, an RSS reader is exactly what you need. You may consider NFReader a good solution, especially if you are a first time user when it comes to RSS feeds. The application's simple and efficient design makes it ideal for beginners, but it can satisfy advanced users as well.

Unlike other similar applications, NFReader doesn't need to be installed. You can just extract its core components into a folder of your choice and run the executable. The application doesn't need a large amount of memory or processing power and it doesn't require any supplementary tools.

NFReader's compact user interface displays RSS feeds like on a standard explorer window. Imported feeds can be organized in folders and sub-folders, on the left side of the window and you can view their titles and stories in the larger area on the right. Importing a new feed doesn't require anything more than just pasting its corresponding URL on a small window. Additionally, you can set a higher or lower update interval.

Unread articles are highlighted with a different color, to make them easier to spot. Selecting a title will display a short description beneath the titles list, but if you want to read the full story, you can just double click a title to go to its web page. Additionally, you can export the article on your hard drive, in TXT or HTML format.
